Apl.de.Ap's Education Advocacy Heads to the Malls

Fresh from conquering the airwaves with the titular single composed and performed by apl.de.ap of the Black Eyes Peas, the We Can Be Anything (WCBA) campaign has hit the malls to bring its education advocacy to an even wider audience. This partnership between apl.d.ap and the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF) urges the youth to make the most of their education to achieve their aspirations.

As one of the featured organizations in Ayala Malls’ Project Inspire, NCAF has highlighted the WCBA advocacy as one of the avenues by which mall-goers can make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged communities. The campaign hones in on access to education by seeking to boost the consolidated private sector effort to help close the national deficit of over 66,000 public school classrooms.

The NCAF volunteer stations in Greenbelt 3, Trinoma, Marquee Mall Pampanga, and Ayala Center Cebu help sustain the online presence of the campaign. After signing up in these stations, volunteers have been showing their support via Facebook, Twitter and the campaign website.

In combination with WCBA activation events in SM Mall of Asia, North EDSA and Megamall over the past seven weeks, the NCAF stations in the Ayala Malls have yielded sign-ups of over 1,000 volunteers for various projects.
