He Cares Foundation and My Philippines Lifestyle, Inc.
By: Krisha May M. Liberato
He Cares Foundation is a Christian non-profit organization that extends help and support to extremely poor street children in Metro Manila, Philippines. Founded by full-time lay missionaries, Joe Dean Sola and his wife Ardis in 1996, the foundation has been serving these children by providing their basic needs like food, clothing, education and medical assistance and also spiritual support.
Guided by the principles of the Bible, He Cares came into existence. For 14 years now, the foundation has produced five major programs managed by its six full time volunteers. The programs are: Balik-Loob sa Diyos (Back to God) Program; Balik-Kalusugan (Back to December) Program; Balik-Bahay (Back to Home) Program; Balik-Aral (Back to School) Program and Balik-Hanapbuhay (Back to Work) Program. The said programs consist of different activities and events which are done daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
He Cares Foundation is now an NGO Partner of the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF). With the backing of NCAF and through the donations of its retail partner, My Philippines Lifestyle, Inc., He Cares Foundation focuses on its feeding programs for 350 kids to be held at its new site at Visayas Avenue, Quezon City under its Balik-Kalusugan (Back to Health) program and also with its Balik-Aral (Back to School) Program where they are preparing 300 uniforms and school supplies for the beneficiaries.
Everyone could reach out to these kids just by simply patronizing iamninoy-iamcory merchandises and My Philippines Lifestyle, Inc. products. Proceeds from these items will add up to the funds for the different programs and events of He Cares Foundation to spread its aspirations to help these street children more and more.
In the Philippines, there are more than 1.5 million children and in Metro Manila alone, there are about 70,000 of them. We can all get them off the streets and transfer them into our loving homes. Let us support He Cares Foundation, Inc.!

My Philippines Lifestyle, Inc.
My Philippines Lifestyle, Inc. manufactures souvenir t-shirts, caps, towels and other souvenir apparel under the brand "My Philippines."
The company initially began in 2003 as a manufacturer and exporter of quality wooden home decors to Europe and the United States. It also went into garments but only as a secondary venture. However, owing to the success of its clothing line, My Philippines halted its home furnishing operations in 2006 to concentrate on its rapidly growing apparel business.
Brian Dy, the company president, hopes to further develop the company's product selection as well as open retail outlets in the country's key tourist destinations. His ultimate goal is to create a positive image of the Philippines and strengthen the sense of nationalism among Filipinos through the designs and messages expressed in the merchandise.
My Philippines is available at major SM Kultura outlets.
