Araneta Center Supports the iamninoy Campaign

Yellow banners stand out amid a frenzy of shoppers in the busy streets of Araneta Center. It proudly proclaims "I am Ninoy"— the rallying call of the new campaign. The banners hope to remind Filipinos, especially the youth, that there was once a man who committed the ultimate sacrifice to free an ailing nation from the iron grip of a dictator. When presented with the concept, the Araneta group immediately jumped on the project. Believing in the noble cause the campaign represents, they offered to carry the banners around Araneta Center in time for August 21, 2008, the 25th anniversary of Ninoy Aquino's martyrdom. They also helped promote the campaign by lending their ad space on the movie guide section of the Philippine Star and the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Soon, basketball fans will also be seeing the iamninoy commercials on the video scoreboard of the Coliseum during half-time.

The 35-hectare commercial center in Quezon City is home to the Araneta Coliseum, the largest entertainment venue in the country. It also features a posh shopping center, the Gateway Mall, comprising five levels of the finest in shopping, dining and entertainment.
