DLSU-DASMA Communication Program Council Speaks Up!

We are the fulfillment of the hopes of the people; we are the success of what a nation has to be; we are the dreams on the verge of achievement; we are the youth of this country, the Philippines.

With the extensive support of the power of the youth, I Am Ninoy Campaign is one of the most influential and most inspiring advocacies one has to experience. “Bring out the Ninoy in you.” The campaign taught the Lasallian students that each one of us has the potential of being someone like Ninoy--- someone who is brave enough to fight for his dignity and to stand for what he thinks is right.

The advocacy ignited the nationalistic flame in every student’s heart who heard what the campaign is all about. We then realized that it is communication, where the power of the youth begins. As Communication Program students, we have the ability to reach out and immerse ourselves in the different phases of life which will open our eyes to the veracity of the real world. We have the capacity of liberally speaking out the truth to the masses and stick to what we think is good. We can promise not to corrupt our minds with the existing dirty standards of the society because we do believe that life can still be fair to this nation.

The campaign does not require anyone to also give up his own life just to relive the spirit that the Filipino is worth dying for; all we have to do is to have our own share of making this country a better place to live in. there’s no small thing when cooperation and unity comes in, and all we have to do is to believe in ourselves that there is still hope for the country and it is us youth that will serve as a key for us to open the gates of progress, optimism, and development.
