The iamninoy campaign, a year-long campaign launched by the Benigno
S. Aquino, Jr. Foundation last Aug.21, 2008 coinciding
with the 25th Anniversary of Ninoy's martyrdom has started
off on the right track. You can see and hear it everywhere
- in the papers, on the radio, on TV, in the streets
of Makati, and more likely on shirts worn by people
passing you by, as shirts, such as Team Manila's iamninoy designs, have been bought and worn by people young and
old.
Having been invited by the BSAF, Team Manila has initially
come up with 2 designs of T-shirts for men and women,
as well as tote bags and pins for the iamninoy campaign. What some people might not be aware of is
that a big portion of the profits will be given by Team
Manila to its chosen charity, K.I.D.S. (Kabataang Inyong
Dapat Suportahan) Foundation. As part of the campaign,
Team Manila's sale of iamninoy merchandise for the period covering August 21, 2008
to August 31, 2008, PHP 48,800.45 will go to K.I.D.S.
Foundation. The BSAF, true to its mission of the "selfless
giving of the best of oneself to the country and our
countrymen," requested retail partners like Team
Manila to allot a certain percentage of sales to a chosen
charity. Such a noble campaign can truly give hope and
inspiration to the Filipino people.
May this inspire and give rise to more and more of
these campaigns and movements in the country today.
Mabuhay ang Pilipino!
