iamninoy Touch Cards Launched

PLDT has launched a Limited Edition Touch Card in honor of Senator Ninoy Aquino's 25th year of heroism and martyrdom. The card sporting the now ubiquitous Ninoy icon and iamninoy frames are available at PLDT business centers and PLDT card outlets nationwide.

"Having Ninoy's image immortalized in Pinoy pop culture, from billboards and apparel to the PLDT Touch Card is a timely and innovative way to bring the late Senator's message of nationalism and change to the youth. PLDT is glad to be part of this endeavor," said Mr. Eric Alberto, Senior Vice President, Head of PLDT's Customer Sales and Marketing Group.

The card offers rates as low as Php3.00 per minute for NDD calls anywhere from Batanes to Tawi-tawi. An additional discount of Php2.10 per minute is given if calls are made through the PLDT Landline Plus Phone.
A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between PLDT, represented by Dan Ibarra, PLDT Head of Business Group, and Benigno S. Aquino, Jr Foundation, Represented by Rafael Lopa, Executive Director last November 4, 2008. Paolo "Bam" Aquino, son of Ninoy's youngest brother, Paul Aquino, also graced the event representing the Aquino Family.

PLDT supports the iamninoy campaign's advocacy of highlighting Ninoy's beliefs and values to inspire the youth to follow in his footsteps and engage in heroic acts in their own capacity. It hopes that the iamninoy Touch Card will bring Ninoy's legacy to life and contribute to this endeavor.
