Dapat Suportahan (K.I.D.S.) Foundation
 K.I.D.S. Foundation, Inc., a family of committed volunteers. We share a common passion to establish a nurturing environment, helping children from all walks of life enjoy their rights and experience growth and development through God-centered activities that promote fun and enjoyment.
We work as catalysts. We bring together socially responsible institutional and individual benefactors to participate in our programs and share the fulfillment of helping children realize their potential, enjoy their youth, and build their dreams.
Here are the list of existing programs and projects:
1. R.E.D. Undernutrition
The Reduce, Eliminate, Decrease (R.E.D.) Undernutrition project of the foundation is a three-phased feeding program that focuses on rehabilitating 0-12 year-old underweight children in selected barangays in the Philippines.
At the end of a 6-month food-based intervention, it is hoped that the beneficiaries have gained normal weight, are nourished and healthy. To ensure that they remain healthy, parents are taught low-cost menu preparation and livelihood programs as well.
Supplemental health services are also rendered to the children throughout the project.
2. Isang Milyong Aklat, Isang Milyong Pangarap
To help develop and instill the habit of reading among the youth, K.I.D.S. and its partner AHON Foundation launched this ongoing nationwide project to collect at least a million books to be distributed to public schools all over the country.
3. 100 KIDScholars
The value of a good education can never be over-emphasized. With this in mind, the foundation intends to give 100 public school students the opportunity to attend/finish school by providing their needs like school supplies, uniforms, shoes, socks and allowance for miscellaneous expenses. Our generous sponsors will help realize this project. For as low as Php 5,000-6,000 you can send a child to a public school for a year!
4. Out of the Streets, Into the Courts
A venue where the youth in the community can gather, appreciate sports and maybe discover their potential, are foremost in our minds when this project was developed in partnership with Nike Philippines.
By building basketball courts in chosen public schools in the country, we hope to channel the boundless energy and curiosity of the young to a healthy, productive activity like sports.
5. A Trek to Remember
Done annually at first, the foundation decided to make this trek twice a year after friends of the foundation who participated in the activity had so much fun distributing donations to public schools in far flung areas chosen for the hike.
This trek-for-a-cause brings the trekker back to nature and assures the participant of a different kind of high that one can only feel when one shares.
6. Financial Grants and Merienda to PGH and POC
K.I.D.S. Foundation, its sponsors and friends have been extending a P10,000.00-a-month financial assistance to chosen children-patients of the Philippine General Hospital and the Philippine Orthopedic Center. Merienda parties have also been regularly organized in the children's ward of these hospitals. The foundation is planning to do the same to children in other hospitals. This simple, fun merienda parties are our way of showing the kids not to despair because someone, somewhere is thinking of them and praying for their recovery.
